30 Days of Misfits: Day 9 - Your favorite Curtis moment - Series 2 Episode 6

My favorite Curtis moment is quite possibly the most profound moment of his role in the group, mainly because he saves the world from Brian, as well as saves the Misfits that Brian killed. Series 2 Episode 6 is when all the people changed by the storm take their powers public and one of these individuals doesn’t get the attention he feels he deserves…and that was Brian. Brian has the ability to manipulate dairy and uses his ability to kill everyone (with the exception of Nathan whom he leaves brain-dead) and once Curtis realizes this he uses his power (of course inadvertently) to go back before the events took place and stop the events from taking place.

This is my favorite because Curtis actually had a major role and did something that without his presence or ability would have spelled the end for everyone.

30 Days of Misfits: Day 8 - Your favorite Nathan moment - SAVE ME BARRY!!!

My favorite Nathan moment is when he says “Save me Barry!”. The first instance of this is from the episode that involves his “death” or episode six of series one (S1E6). I think of all the funny things he says in the series, this one was sincere and serious but the way his voice sounds made this my favorite moment. I thought it was great how he gives this glorious speech about how we are designed to do dumb shit and then inadvertently falls to his death from the top of the community center. While I stated Simon was my favorite character of the entire series, Nathan was right up there and I feel like this along with his usually witty comments put him up there.

Not only this time, but also when he is being dragged away for the final time in Vegas Baby! and shouts “Save me Barry!!!” towards the pay phone is also my favorite simply because of the statement in general, as well as I liked it was how he “went out” of series one and the show.

30 Days of Misfits: Day 7 - Your least favorite guest star - Katie Moore as Tanya

Katie Moore as Tanya just pissed me off to no end. She was a hot-headed bitch who needed to learn to control her emotions and temper. I loved her power, but the way she used it just pissed me off. Granted I can’t say I wouldn’t use it for revenge, but the bitch was just mad at the world and hurt people with her power. Not to mention her haircut bothered me too.

30 Days of Misfits: Day 6 - Your favorite guest star - Jessica Brown-Findlay as Rachel Leyton

Jessica Brown-Findlay as Rachel Leyton was my favorite guest, more so in Series 3 Episode 8 as she was coming to terms with her life and the afterlife and doing the things she always wanted to do but never did because she thought of them as sinful. I did like the structure her character had and the fact that she used her power for “good” but I didn’t like how it almost spelled the end for the group (and ultimately did for one member). Out of all the characters that were only in one or two episodes I feel like her performance was by far the best and well developed. Great actresses yield great characters.

30 Days of Misfits: Day 5 - Your least favorite episode – S3E8

Series 3 Episode 8 was my least favorite because the show lost 2 more great characters and two great individuals. I did not like the fact that you find out that they are stuck in this infinite loop without a few key details being answered. I don’t like that we have no idea how long this loop has been going on, or what triggered Simon to originally go back in the first place because if he never knew he loved her he wouldn’t have gone back to save her from being shot by the crazy video game guy thus she wouldn’t have fallen in love with him and he wouldn’t have had to go back when he did because she wouldn’t have been there. I just think it didn’t do these characters justice and just was a shitty way of “explaining” their story.

30 Days of Misfits: Day 4 - Your favorite episode – S2E7 C.S./S3E7

My favorite episode is actually a tie between Series 2 Episode 7 “Christmas Special” and Series 3 Episode 7. Mainly the reason I liked these episodes is because they contained pure mindless vandalism. It simply involved killing, and a lot of. I liked that they weren’t afraid to go to that place in the Christmas Special where they had a character pretending to be Jesus and the group killed him. I also liked how they showed another negative aspect to one of Curtis Donovan’s powers being that bringing the dead back to life causes a shitstorm of trouble. Overall they contained my favorite thing - the group killing someone or something and going on about their lives.
